TRY Data Use Policy

The development of the TRY database is based on the intellectual property guidelines of the TRY initiative.

The guidelines define two stages of data availability:

• Stage 1: Data from the TRY database are available for data-contributors and modelling projects, depending on permission of the respective data custodians. These data are available via submission of a data request. Any use is based on the conditions defined in the TRY intellectual property guidelines.
• Stage 2: Transfer of data to the wider scientific community. These data are publicly available for download. Any use of these data is based on the TRY Fair Use Data Policy.

In both cases data cannot be redistributed to others and must not be redistributed via other websites, databases or any other storage system to prevent circulation of different versions of the datasets.
