Welcome to the TRY initiative
A global network of vegetation scientists to compile and share plant trait data
TRY is jointly headed by IGBP, QUEST, DIVERSITAS and the Organismic Biogeochemistry Group at MPI-BGC
|
Main objectives:
- Construction of a global database of plant functional traits
- Make the data available for the ecological community
- Support the design of a new generation of global vegetation models
Current state of the TRY database:
- Network of >100 data contributors
- >2.400.000 trait records compiled
- 17 projects using data from the TRY database
